This guide will help project managers of all sizes and environments deliver effectively what is required of them by properly managing costs, deadlines, quality, scope, risks and benefits. The development of the manual was preceded by extensive consultations; it draws on the practical experience of both public and private sector organizations.
The edition contains the principles of the PRINCE2 methodology, reinforcing the application of good practices in successful projects. PRINCE2 topics describe those aspects of project management that require special treatment, and PRINCE2 methodology processes present the course of project implementation through its life cycle from preparation to closure.
The handbook is a continuation of work by the Office of Government (OGC) to develop and improve the definition and presentation of PRINCE2.
